Most crew don't realize the importance of outerwear.  "Weather" it's tender jackets to keep guests dry on the way to the restaurant, or for the crew to keep warm in those Alaska morning or even perhaps just good ol fashion steaming (or sailing) to the next trendy anchor point... The crew need to stay dry and warm.
